Generated Codes
Ready to generateWhat Is a Confirmation Code Generator?
A confirmation code generator creates random codes that can be used to confirm an action, identify a request, support a registration workflow or provide temporary verification information. Confirmation codes can consist of numbers, letters or a combination of different character types.
This free confirmation code generator runs in your web browser and allows you to control the length, quantity and character set used for each generated code. It can be useful for testing applications, creating sample data and producing random codes for non-sensitive workflows.
Why Use the Confirmation Code Generator?
The tool provides a simple way to create random confirmation codes without installing software or manually constructing character sequences.
Custom Code Length
Generate codes from 4 to 128 characters long to suit different application and testing requirements.
Multiple Codes
Generate up to 100 confirmation codes in a single operation.
Numbers
Create numeric confirmation codes such as six-digit or eight-digit verification codes.
Letters
Include uppercase letters, lowercase letters or both when generating alphanumeric codes.
Symbol Support
Optionally include common symbols when your confirmation code format requires additional characters.
Browser-Based
Generate codes directly in your browser without sending the generated values to a remote service.
How to Use the Confirmation Code Generator
Generating a confirmation code takes only a few steps. Select the required format and create your codes directly in the tool.
- Choose the code length — Enter a length between 4 and 128 characters.
- Choose the number of codes — Enter how many confirmation codes you want to generate, from 1 to 100.
- Select character types — Enable numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters and/or symbols.
- Generate and copy — Select Generate Codes, then copy the resulting codes when required.
Generate Random Confirmation Codes Online
A random confirmation code can be useful whenever an application or workflow needs a short value that is difficult to predict. Common examples include registration testing, sample verification workflows, reservation references, temporary identifiers and development environments. The appropriate code format depends on how the code will be used and validated.
Numeric codes are often convenient when a user needs to enter the value manually. Alphanumeric codes can provide a larger character space at the same length. Longer codes generally provide more possible combinations, while shorter codes are easier to communicate and enter.
Six-Digit Confirmation Codes
Six-digit codes are commonly used when a short numeric value is required. To create one, set the code length to 6, select Numbers and generate the code. The resulting value can contain any six digits, including leading zeroes.
Alphanumeric Confirmation Codes
Alphanumeric confirmation codes combine letters and numbers to provide more possible combinations than numeric codes of the same length. You can enable uppercase and lowercase letters together with numbers to create a broader character set.
Confirmation Code Security and Limitations
The generator uses the browser's Web Crypto API when available to obtain cryptographically strong random values. A fallback based on JavaScript's standard random function is used only when the Web Crypto API is unavailable. The tool does not maintain a database of generated codes or transmit them to a server.
For production authentication, password recovery, multi-factor authentication or account verification, a client-side generator should not be treated as the complete security mechanism. Production systems should generate codes on a trusted server, associate them with the intended account or transaction, apply short expiration periods, limit verification attempts and invalidate codes after successful use.
