What Is a List Merger?

A List Merger is an online tool for combining two or more separate lists into one list. Instead of manually copying entries from multiple sources into a single document, you can paste each list into the tool and generate a combined result automatically.

List merging can be useful when working with names, keywords, URLs, numbers, product references, tasks, email addresses and other line-based information. The resulting list can then be copied into a spreadsheet, document, database, script or another application.

Why Use List Merger?

Combining lists manually can be repetitive, particularly when working with several large lists. The List Merger provides a quick way to bring multiple sources together while giving you control over duplicates, whitespace, empty lines and result formatting.

1

Merge Multiple Lists

Combine two or more separate lists into one continuous result without manually copying every entry.

2

Remove Duplicates

Optionally remove repeated items so that each entry appears only once in the merged list.

3

Ignore Case

Treat uppercase and lowercase versions of the same item as duplicates when the option is enabled.

4

Add More Lists

Add additional input boxes when you need to combine more than two separate lists.

5

Choose a Separator

Create your result using new lines, commas, semicolons or tabs depending on how you intend to use it.

6

Copy the Result

Copy the completed merged list directly to your clipboard for quick use elsewhere.

How to Use the List Merger

Combining lists is straightforward. Each input box accepts one item per line, allowing you to merge ordinary text-based lists quickly.

  1. Enter your first lists — Paste or type the items from your first two lists into the corresponding input boxes.
  2. Add more lists if needed — Select “Add Another List” to create additional input boxes for more lists.
  3. Choose your options — Decide whether to trim whitespace, remove blank lines and eliminate duplicates. You can also choose how the result should be separated.
  4. Merge and copy — Select “Merge Lists”, review the result and use “Copy Result” to copy the combined list.

Merge Multiple Lists Online

Merging lists is useful whenever information is spread across multiple sources. For example, you may have separate lists of keywords, customers, products, website URLs or tasks that need to be combined into a single collection. The List Merger lets you bring these lists together without manually transferring every item.

The tool keeps the lists in the order they are entered. Items from the first list are followed by items from the second list, followed by any additional lists. This makes the result predictable and easy to work with.

Combine Lists With or Without Duplicates

Some workflows require every occurrence to be retained, while others need a list containing only unique items. The List Merger supports both approaches. Leave duplicate removal disabled to preserve every entry, or enable it to keep only the first occurrence of each item.

Merge Lists for Spreadsheets and Data Processing

A merged list can be copied into spreadsheet software, text editors, databases and other data-processing tools. The available separator options also make it possible to produce a result in a format better suited to your next step, such as one item per line, comma-separated values or tab-separated data.

How List Merging Works

The List Merger reads each input list line by line and combines the entries in the order in which the lists are presented. If trimming is enabled, leading and trailing whitespace is removed before an item is added to the result. Empty lines can also be excluded.

When duplicate removal is enabled, the tool compares each item with entries already included in the result. The first occurrence is retained and subsequent duplicates are omitted. If ignore case is enabled, entries such as “Example”, “example” and “EXAMPLE” are treated as the same item for duplicate detection.
