What Is a Schema Markup Generator?
A Schema Markup Generator creates structured data in a format that can be added to a web page to describe its content to search engines and other systems. This tool generates JSON-LD based on common Schema.org types and the information you provide.
Schema markup can describe many different types of content, including articles, products, organisations, local businesses, events, recipes, websites and frequently asked questions. Using the appropriate schema type can make the relationships and properties of a page more explicit to machines.
Why Use a Schema Markup Generator?
Writing structured data manually can be time-consuming and makes formatting mistakes easier to introduce. A generator provides a structured form for common properties and produces formatted JSON-LD that can be copied into a website.
JSON-LD Output
Generate structured data using JSON-LD, a widely used format for implementing Schema.org markup.
Multiple Schema Types
Create markup for articles, products, FAQs, businesses, organisations, websites and other common types.
Structured Forms
Relevant fields are displayed according to the Schema.org type selected in the generator.
Formatted Output
The generated JSON-LD is formatted with indentation so it is easier to read and review.
Local Processing
The generator creates the markup directly in your browser without requiring a server-side submission.
Free to Use
Generate and copy schema markup without a paid account or subscription.

- Review and implement it — Review the generated markup and add it to the appropriate page before testing it with a structured data testing tool.
Using JSON-LD Schema Markup for SEO
Structured data provides machine-readable information about the content of a page. Schema.org defines types and properties that can be used to describe entities and relationships in a consistent vocabulary. JSON-LD places this information in a script element rather than requiring schema properties to be distributed throughout the visible HTML.
Good structured data should accurately represent the visible and relevant content of the page. Adding properties simply to influence search results, including information that does not apply to the page, or using an inappropriate schema type can make the markup less useful and may prevent it from being eligible for certain search features.
Choosing the Right Schema Type
The schema type should reflect what the page actually represents. An article can use Article or a more specific article subtype, a product page can use Product, an organisation can use Organization, and a page containing genuine frequently asked questions can use FAQPage. More specific types can provide more relevant information when they accurately describe the content.
Reviewing Generated Structured Data
Generated markup should always be reviewed before publication. Check URLs, names, descriptions, dates, prices, business information and other properties against the source content. JSON that is syntactically valid is not necessarily appropriate or eligible for every search feature.
Schema Markup Generator Information
This generator creates JSON-LD using predefined fields and Schema.org vocabulary. It is designed to make common structured data types easier to create, but it does not perform a live review of your website or determine whether a particular schema type is eligible for a search feature.
Generated markup should be treated as a starting point and checked against the current structured data requirements of the search engine or platform where it will be used. Search engines can change their supported features and guidelines, and valid structured data does not guarantee rich results or improved rankings.
