Verification Code Generator
Generate random verification codes instantly with a configurable length and character set. Create one code or multiple codes directly in your browser.
Verification Code Generator
Choose your code length, character types and quantity, then generate your verification codes.
Choose between 4 and 64 characters.
Generate between 1 and 100 codes.
Select at least one character type. Numbers and uppercase letters are enabled by default.
Codes are generated locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API. The generated values are not transmitted to the YesTools server by this tool.
What Is a Verification Code Generator?
A Verification Code Generator creates short random codes that can be used for verification, confirmation and identification workflows. Codes can contain numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters and selected symbols depending on the options you choose.
Verification codes are commonly used for account registration, email confirmation, password recovery, sign-in verification, form confirmation and other processes where a system needs a temporary random value. This tool lets you create codes quickly without installing software or writing code.
Why Use a Verification Code Generator?
This free online generator provides flexible code creation while keeping generation in your browser. You can control the code length, character composition and number of results without manually creating random values.
Random Codes
Generate random verification codes using browser-based cryptographically secure random values.
Custom Length
Choose a code length from 4 to 64 characters to suit different verification requirements.
Multiple Codes
Generate up to 100 verification codes in a single operation for batch preparation.
Flexible Characters
Choose numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters or symbols for the generated codes.
Browser Based
Generate codes directly in your browser without installing an application or sending codes to a remote service.
Easy to Copy
Copy all generated codes to your clipboard with a single button for quick use elsewhere.
How to Use the Verification Code Generator
Generate verification codes by selecting the settings you need and then copying the results for use in your application, workflow or documentation.
- Choose the code length — Select a verification code length between 4 and 64 characters.
- Choose character types — Select numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters and/or symbols.
- Choose the quantity — Enter the number of verification codes you want to generate, from 1 to 100.
- Generate and copy — Select Generate Codes, then use Copy All to copy the resulting codes to your clipboard.
Generate Random Verification Codes Online
A random verification code is useful when a website or application needs a temporary value that is difficult to predict. The appropriate code format depends on the system receiving it. Numeric codes are convenient for SMS and phone verification, while alphanumeric codes can provide a larger character set.
The YesTools Verification Code Generator allows you to create codes without relying on a fixed format. You can select the character groups that match your requirements and generate several codes at once. This makes the tool useful for testing, development, demonstrations, temporary workflows and other legitimate purposes where random codes are needed.
Choosing a Verification Code Length
Longer codes generally provide a larger number of possible combinations, which can make guessing more difficult. A six-digit numeric code has a much smaller possible range than a longer alphanumeric code. The required length should therefore be determined by the security requirements and verification process of the system using the code.
Verification Codes and One-Time Passwords
Verification codes are often associated with one-time passwords, or OTPs, but the terms are not always interchangeable. An OTP is normally designed to be accepted for a limited period or a specific authentication event, while a verification code may be used more generally to confirm an action or value. A production authentication system should manage expiration, attempts, storage and validation on the server side.
Verification Code Security and Limitations
This generator uses the browser's Web Crypto API to obtain cryptographically secure random values where the browser supports it. Random generation alone does not make a verification system secure. Codes used for authentication or account verification should also have appropriate expiration periods, rate limits, attempt limits, server-side validation and secure handling.
The generated codes are created locally in the browser and are not transmitted to the YesTools server by the tool. If you use a generated code for a real application, treat it according to the security requirements of that application and avoid exposing active authentication codes unnecessarily.
