Website Traffic Calculator
Enter a known traffic total, select its reporting period, and choose the period you want to estimate.
What Is a Website Traffic Calculator?
A Website Traffic Calculator estimates the amount of website traffic that corresponds to different reporting periods. It can convert a known traffic figure into an estimated daily, weekly, monthly or yearly amount using the average rate represented by the original data.
This type of calculation is useful for website owners, publishers, marketers, SEO professionals and businesses analysing website performance. It can help turn a traffic figure from an analytics report into comparable estimates for other periods without performing the calculations manually.
Why Use the Website Traffic Calculator?
The Website Traffic Calculator provides a quick way to estimate traffic across multiple time periods from a single known traffic figure. It supports common website metrics and performs the calculations directly in your browser.

How to Use the Website Traffic Calculator
Enter a known traffic figure and identify the period it covers. The calculator will then estimate equivalent traffic for other periods.
- Enter your traffic value — Enter the number of visitors, sessions or page views from your known reporting period.
- Select the traffic metric — Choose whether the value represents visitors, sessions or page views.
- Select the known period — Choose whether your traffic value covers one day, week, month or year.
- Review the estimates — The calculator displays daily, weekly, monthly and yearly estimates based on the selected traffic rate.
How to Calculate Website Traffic
Website traffic estimates can be calculated by determining the average traffic for a known period and then multiplying that average by the number of days in the target period. For example, if a website receives 7,000 visitors in one week, the simple daily average is 1,000 visitors. That average can then be used to estimate approximately 30,000 visitors over a 30-day period.
The calculation is useful when comparing traffic figures reported over different time periods. It is important to remember that these are projections based on an average rather than predictions of actual future traffic. Website traffic can fluctuate because of seasonality, campaigns, publishing activity, search demand, referrals and other factors.
Visitors, Sessions and Page Views
Website analytics platforms use several different traffic metrics, and they should not be treated as interchangeable. Visitors generally refer to users or unique users depending on the analytics platform, sessions represent periods of interaction with a website, and page views count individual page loads. A single session can contain multiple page views, while a returning visitor can generate multiple sessions.
Estimating Monthly Website Traffic
Monthly traffic can be estimated from a daily or weekly average, but the result depends on the number of days represented by the month. A 30-day month and a 31-day month will produce different estimates from the same daily average. The calculator uses standard period conversions for general estimation rather than attempting to predict actual analytics data.
Understanding Website Traffic Estimates
The calculator assumes that the average traffic rate from the period you provide remains consistent when converting it to another period. This makes the result useful as a simple estimate, but actual website traffic rarely remains perfectly consistent. Weekends, holidays, seasonal demand, advertising campaigns, search algorithm changes and changes to publishing activity can all affect traffic.
The calculator does not connect to Google Analytics, Google Search Console or another analytics service and does not retrieve website traffic automatically. You provide the traffic figure manually, and the calculation is performed locally in your browser. The entered traffic value is not submitted to a YesTools server as part of the calculation.
